This is a stunning Art Deco vase by Jean Luce in an electric blue colour.It is a typical thick walled, heavy piece with a deep geometric pattern. The condition is excellent and has his engraved mark underneath the base.
He first exhibited at the Musee Galliera in 1911 and then at the Salon d’Automne and the Salon des Artistes Decorateurs from 1913.The Compagnie Generale Transatlantique (CGT) commissioned him to design all the glass and porcelainware for its liner SS Normandie.
