This lamp , known as the praying mantis or mante religieuse , was designed in the 1950's by Agnes Rispal, inspired by the work of Hans Arp. The cable fits into a recess in the body. It is in very good condition and has the original French wiring and floor switch which is in working order but should be checked by an electrician .
